Emergency Lighting
Emergency lighting not only is paramount to the safe evacuation of a building during a fire but also has a health and safety implication during for example a power cut.
There are three classifications of emergency lighting: maintained, non maintained and sustained all of which will be designed to suit the application by our surveyor.
Emergency lighting systems require weekly checks by the nominated person as well as six monthly annual and 3 yearly tests in accordance with BS 5266.
The system will have test points throughout the building so that these checks can be made with ease.
Completion of the on site log book also needs to be kept up to date.
