Alarm Monitoring Centre
Our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is a state of the art building which is manned 24hrs a day.
Because of its role it is fully protected from attack. The centre is highly secure with superior protection against fire and lightning. In the event of the rest of the building becoming incapacitated the ARC would continue to operate as normal as it has for example its own in-built automatic air intake, standby servers and auxiliary power supplies. In the unlikely event that the centre ever needed to be shut down three other centres in the country duplicate all data the second it is updated so a seamless transfer to another centre ensures that no information is lost.
The centre is fully approved by NSI to Gold standard to the same level as Justice Fire & Security which is NSI’s premier standard.
All intruder alarm systems are monitored by these centres that filter out any unwanted false alarms before passing on genuine signals to the Police.
We also monitor Fire alarm systems for Fire brigade response as well as CCTV and other equipment such as freezer and plant failures, people trapped in lifts, lone worker and asset location (tracker) devices in fact anything or anyone that needs 24hr monitoring. Various forms of monitoring are available including Digital Communicator BT RED Care ™ & DualCom ®.
DualCom ® is a secure alarm transmission system which uses two electronic paths to transmit the alarm signals out of your building.
Primary signalling is by GPRS /GSM Radio and secondary via PSTN Telephone line with an optional third IP connection. If either path should fail, for whatever reason signals will be transmitted on the remaining route. One path backs the other path up with our ARC being notified of any failure. Our surveyors will provide a solution to meet your requirements.
