The camera is disguised from view by the public often hidden in clocks or dummy central heating thermostats or a intruder alarm passive infra red detector casing. The idea is that the villain cannot attack something they cant see.
This system may be used in a shop environment and is on view for the public to see serves as a deterrent as well as being able to view the area which may be recorded.
This system is installed in an environment housing and may include infra red lamps windscreen wipers/washers and be installed on a tall tower.
These units are the choice for most installations today they are very neat in design and can be vandal resistant. Can be used inside or outside.
Cameras can be either fixed looking at one spot or PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) whereby an operator can move the camera and zoom it in from a remote location.
Images from the camera system are stored on a Video Digital Recorder (VDR) and can be burnt onto a CD for passing onto the authorities. VDR’s can also be networked onto a LAN so that any authorised user can view and control the system from their own PC.
With a broadband connection images can be viewed across the internet (for example you may have a remote stores or premises that you could view from your main office or home).
The VDR can be set to only record movement unlike the old video tape machines that recorded hours and days of unwanted images.
We can monitor your CCTV system 24hrs a day at our Alarm receiving centre. The operator can automatically carry out tours at predetermined times throughout the day and night as well as remotely record images. Sensors can be installed outside your premises and if an intruder trips the unit will immediately call the centre who can action the authorities or issue warnings over a PA system to the intruder. If you employ static guards the cost saving over a year can be tremendous on salaries and insurance.
