In addition to NSI, Justice Fire and Security is a member of the BSIA (The British Security Industry Association).

The British Security Industry Association is the professional trade association for the security industry in the UK. Its aim is to help its member companies succeed in an ever-changing and highly competitive business environment. A vitally important element of this is ensuring its members provide the highest possible standard of products and service to their customers.

Members are responsible for more than 70% of UK security business, including CCTV, access control, manned security, information destruction, physical security, cash-in-transit and alarm manufacture, distribution and installation. The BSIA has people from the Police, Insurance, British standards telecommunications and manufacturers assisting with new developments.

BAFE

Justice Fire and Security has obtained the BAFE SP203 Modular certificate under the NSI Gold banner for all four categories of Fire alarm system Design, Installation, Commissioning and handover and maintenance.

We have our own design department and can produce full CAD drawings.

BAFE, established in 1984, is a non-profit making organisation and operates independent third party schemes of approval for fire protection systems and services.

In today’s environment of risk assessment, with the increasing responsibility for safety on the owner / occupier, it is increasingly important that the quality of fire protection ensures “fit for purpose” and is installed and maintained by “competent persons”. In buying your fire protection from a BAFE Registered Firm you are assured of this.

Choosing fire protection from a BAFE Registered Firm ensures that its products and services conform to recognised standards. Where relevant an independent third party certificate of conformance is issued that can be used as part of a statutory defence in law, should the necessity arise.

Constructionline

Constructionline is the UK's register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related contractors and consultants. Owned and endorsed by the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (formerly the DTI), Constructionline is a contributor to the Rethinking Construction initiative.

Constructionline gather and assess pre-qualification information on behalf of public and private sector procurers and provide them with access to over 14,000 fully accredited suppliers free of charge. In addition, we also help contractors and consultants by reducing the need for them to fill-in pre-qualification forms for every tender and provide them with access to over 1,700 buyers.

CHAS

Over the years local authority health and safety and procurement professionals, with the support of the Health and Safety Executive, have developed the Contractor Health and Safety assessment scheme (CHAS). The scheme is available for use by any public and private sector organizations to use when short listing contractors, suppliers and consultants (companies) who apply to work for them. It provides information about the health and safety part of their application.

Justice has obtained the stringent Health and Safety management requirements of the CHAS scheme and clients can therefore be assured when placing their business with us that all the necessary risk assessments method statements etc will be carried out

It is interesting to note that 4 out of 5 companies that apply for the CHAS scheme fail their assessment, an indication of the commitment of Justice Fire & Security to the importance of Health and Safety law.
