Fire Alarm Systems and Fire SuppressionCommercial
If you employ more than 5 people you should be aware of the Fire Precautions Regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. These rules require that every organisation with five or more people should carry out an assessment of the fire risks in the same way you undertake health and safety assessments in order to maintain a safe working environment. These requirements include but are not limited to, carrying out a fire risk assessment, the provision of fire fighting and fire detection equipment, an effective fire action plan, adequate means of escape, staff training and fire safety awareness and the appointment of a responsible person. Residential
The Housing Act 1985 states that by law, Housing of Multiple Occupants (HMO) properties require Fire Alarms with smoke/heat detectors, fire fighting equipment, escape lighting, display adequate signs and that the fire alarm systems in place are maintained regularly. Failure to apply for a license for an HMO is an offence and can result in a fine of up to £20,000. We provide guidance and fire solutions for HMO's.
